Samsung has added another device to its Galaxy S25 lineup with the launch of the Galaxy S25 FE 5G in India. The phone enters the market at Rs 59,999 for the base variant featuring 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, offering buyers a lower-cost option while keeping core flagship elements intact.
The Galaxy S25 FE carries forward the family design of the S25 series. The rear panel is made of matte-finished glass protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+, framed in aluminium, and equipped with an IP68 rating for resistance against dust and water. Three independent lenses are arranged vertically at the back without a protruding camera housing.
On the front, users get a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung’s panel produces sharp visuals with deep contrast, making it suitable for video, browsing, and gaming.
The smartphone is equipped with a triple-camera setup, led by a 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and an 8MP telephoto unit capable of 3x optical zoom. A 12MP front-facing sensor has been added for selfies and video calls. While the camera hardware mirrors the main Galaxy S25 series, long-term testing will determine how it performs in varied conditions.
Samsung has used its in-house Exynos 2400 processor to power the Galaxy S25 FE 5G. The chipset is paired with One UI 8, which runs on Android 16. Features include AI-powered tools such as Now Bar, interpreter mode, Circle to Search, and enhanced multitasking functions. Initial usage shows smooth handling of everyday activities, though further testing is required to gauge gaming performance and heating issues.
The device houses a 4900mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging. Early impressions suggest the battery comfortably lasts beyond a full day of moderate use, but detailed testing is awaited to assess charging speed and endurance under heavy load.
At under Rs 60,000, the Galaxy S25 FE 5G is placed below the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Plus but retains a similar design language and many core specifications.
